Garry Dean White

Mr. Garry Dean White, age 61 of Mount Airy, passed away at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 20, 2021. Mr. White was born on December 11, 1960, in Surry County to the late Aldon and Lucille Thompson White. Garry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Garry loved building and riding motorcycles. Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Sharon Mayes White, a son and daughter-in-law, Josh Compton and Brittney; grandchildren, Riley Compton, Baby Compton (due in May); a sister-in-law, Dana Brunk; several nieces and nephews, and special friends, David and Yvonne Parker, Brent Tilley, and Sherri Brintle. In an addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by a son, Randy Dean White. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Unity Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services of Mount Airy is serving the family.
