Gary Delond Cain

Mr. Gary Delond Cain, 70, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his home. He was born in Surry County on June 26, 1951, to the late Floyd and Pearlie Esther Sutphin Cain. Mr. Cain was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a loving father and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tabitha Cain; daughter, Michelle Swift; grandchildren, Ashley Berry and Kyler Cain; sisters and brother-in-law, Peggy and Harlin Marion, Lannie Lowe, and Geraldine Richardson. In addition to his parents Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his wife Linda Mae Snow Cain; sisters, Estelle Barker, Runnell Hicks; brothers, Pete, Delmar, Leonard, Elwood, Alvie and Larn Cain. A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. The family would like to send out a special thanks to Jonathan and Cindy of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for all the care and support given during Mr. Cain’s Illness.
