Gary Stephen Lyons

Mr. Gary Stephen Lyons, 48, of 2991 Flower Gap Road, Cana, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at his home. Mr. Lyons was born December 4, 1959, son of Brady and Eva Quesenberry Lyons. He was a member of Lambsburg Christian Church and retired from Pine State Knitting and Hardy Tree Service. Surviving are his wife, Robin Denice Lyons of the home; a stepson and wife, David Brian and Tonya Hawks of Lambsburg, VA; three grandchildren, Sydney Elizabeth Jewel Hawks, Raydan Mackenzie Hawks, and Kamden Brian Hawks; mother and father, Brady and Eva Quesenberry Lyons of Lambsburg, VA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Karen and Curt Carlson of Lexington, SC, and Donna Lyons of Lambsburg, VA; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Becky Lyons, Freddie and Sherri Lyons, and Eddie and Becky Lyons, all of Mount Airy, and Gerald Lyons of Lambsburg, VA; several nieces and nephews; and his special cats, Pumpkin, Beans, and Darla. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 11:00 AM at New Beginnings Community Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Wes Mosteller, and burial will follow in the Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friendsF Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at New Beginnings Community Church.
