Gary B. Sewell

Mr. Gary B. Sewell, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born March 3, 1951, in Forsyth County, to JoAnn Hobson Sewell and the late Milton Junior Sewell.  Mr. Sewell was owner and operator of Professional Insurance Services.  He was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, and pianist.  Gary loved riding his tractor, spending time on the farm, raising a garden, and playing golf with his friends.  He was a friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Sewell is survived by his loving wife, Pam Younger Sewell of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Chris Martin and Amanda and Sammy Lawson, all of Mount Airy; six grandchildren, Anna Grace Martin, Adam Martin, Jack Martin, John Martin, Sarah Jane Lawson, and Julie Anna Lawson; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Easter of Mount Airy; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Susan Sewell of Mountain Park, Rick and Donna Sewell of Rustburg, VA, and Marty and Melissa Sewell of Pilot Mountain; and many nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be held Friday, June 8, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church, with Bro. Sammy Lawson, the Rev. Marty Sewell, and the Rev. Rick Sewell officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.
