Gary Richard Sykes, Sr

Mr. Gary Richard Sykes, Sr., 51, of Fredrick Maryland passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Fredrick Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 9, 1956 to the late James William Sykes, Sr. and Myrtle Mae Easter Sykes. Mr. Sykes had a passion for writing and had succeeded at having various works published. He was a resident of Citizens Nursing Home in Fredrick, MD. where he became an ordained Minister and proudly spread the of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He always had a ready smile and a joke to tell. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Myrtle Mae Easter Sykes of Clear Spring, MD.; a daughter Jennifer Michelle Sykes; a son Gary Richard Sykes, Jr. seven precious grandchildren; three sisters Ruth Ann Harvey of Clear Spring, Mary Wood of Elkin, NC, and Linda Smith of Mt. Airy, NC; a brother Douglas Dean Sykes of Mt. Airy; several aunts, uncles and a multitude of friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson, NC is assisting the Sykes family.
