Gary Blaine Vaughn

Mr. Gary Blaine Vaughn, 55, of Mount Airy, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2010. Mr. Vaughn was born June 29, 1955, in Wayne County, MI. He was a loving son and brother who will be dearly missed. Surviving are his mother, Pauline Vernon Vaughn of Cana, VA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Vaughn and Phyllis and Buddy Easter, all of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Helen Vaughn of Cana, VA; his biological father, who loved Gary very much, Earlie Vernon of Inkster, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Howard Vaughn; and his biological mother, Veronica Danyliw Vernon. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, by the Rev. David Sechrist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017 or to The American Red Cross, Wood River Chapter, P.O.
