Gaye Bondurant Poore Robinson

Mrs. Gaye Bondurant Poore Robinson, 91, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at her daughter’s home. She was born July 24, 1933, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Andrew and Joellen Scales Bondurant. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donna Wood (Danny); her grandchildren, Robert Williams (Lauren) and Matthew Williams (Jessica); her great-grandchildren, Andrew Williams, Parker Williams, and Madalyn Williams; eighteen beloved nieces and nephews; and many, wonderful, and lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Poore and Claude Clark Robinson; seven sisters, Betty Ruth Bondurant, Elva Neal, Ona Mae Pucket, Mary Copeland, Lucy Sorenson, Frances Puckett, and Katheryn Jones; and four brothers, Bill Bondurant, John Bondurant, Joe Bondurant, and Jim Bondurant. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Grace Moravian Church, with the Rev. Andrew Heil officiating. Entombment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.
