Gaynella Farley Bowman

Mrs. Gaynella Farley Bowman, 84, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Bowman was born May 18, 1926, in Summers, WV, to the late Aaron Washington and Mary Jane Eanes Farley. She retired from Oakdale Knitting Company. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Teresa Bowman of Knoxville TN, and Louis Dean and Donna Bowman of High Point; and two grandsons and their spouses, Joshua and Jennifer Brown of Oak Ridge, TN, and Ian and Karen Brown of Fayetteville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, Roden Louis Bowman. The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 3, 2010, at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. James Orange officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
