Geneva Elizabeth Smith

Miss Geneva Elizabeth Smith, age 74 of Mt Airy passed away Sunday January 28, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Miss Smith was born April 24, 1932 in Patrick County VA to the late Susie Elizabeth Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of White Plains Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and David Buchanan of Mt. Airy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Orville Junior Smith, Fulce "Fuzzy" Smith and Jamie Andrews all of Mt Airy; six grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Smith, Amanda Buchanan, April Buchanan, Jerry Smith, Jessica Smith, Tye Lee Smith; one step grandchild, Brandon Wayne Tilley. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2007 at White Plains Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt Airy where her body will remain until time to be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service.
