Mrs. Geneva Gay Goad Walker age 85 formerly of Ferrum, Va. died Saturday at the Central Continuing Care Center in Mt Airy, NC. She was a homemaker and a member of Prillaman-Switch Baptist Church in Ferrum. She was born July 24, 1922 in Carroll County, Va. to the late Roy Goad and the late Beatrice Turman Goad. She was also preceded in death by her husband Grady Allen Walker and a brother Edward Goad. She is survived by a son Roger Allen Davis of Ararat, NC. one sister Susie Overstreet of Willis, VA. A brother Roy Goad Jr. of Maryland a sister-in-law Carolyn Goad of Maryland two-grandchildren Matthew Davis and Casey Davis also several step-children survives in Patrick and Henry County. Funeral Services for Mrs. Walker will be Tuesday at 2 PM at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
