Genevieve Garris Wolfe

Mrs. Genevieve Garris Wolfe, age 67, of Dobson passed away at her home on Thursday morning May 7, 2009. She was born in Yadkin County on July 20, 1941 to the late Luther and Beulah Johnson Garris. She was retired from Wayne Farms. Surviving are her husband J.W. Wolfe, of the home; two daughters and son-in-law Aline and Vicente Vargs of Elkin, Sherry Carrasco of Elkin; by a son and daughter-in-law Shonnie and Aleta Wolfe of Elkin; seven grandchildren Rigo Pozo, Chris Pozo, Michelle Pozo, Brandon Wolfe, J. Wolfe II, Tshonia Wolfe and Luke Wolfe; three step grandchildren Robert Avery, Gabrielle Shively, Veronica Shively; five great grandchildren Samantha Pozo, Christian Pozo, Caleb Pozo, Kaylee Pozo and Kaylyn Pozo; two great-great grandchildren Connor Shively and Hayden Marks; four sisters and brothers-in-law Jerry Key of Dobson, Martha and Ronald Absher of Austin, Katie Darnell of State Road, Ellen and Larry Wilkins of Boonville; two brothers and sister-in-law Leo and Norman Garris of Elkin and Perry Garris of Jonesville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandchild Shadoe Wolfe; three sisters Connie Garris, Dorothy Wright, and Ella Mae Poindexter; by two brother Connard Garris and Ted Garris. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday May 9, 2009 at Second Chance Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Terry Coe will conduct the services. The Family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7 until 9 PM.
