George "Butch" J. Hylton

Mr. George J. “Butch” Hylton, age 66 of Ararat, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Galax Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Patrick County on March 10, 1955, to the late George Clifford Hylton and Edith Conner Hylton. Butch had attended Vesta Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving is a stepson, James Boyd and fiancé, Jennifer Nester of Floyd; one grandson, Landon Boyd; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Annabelle Howell of Martinsville, Linda and Kenneth Biggs of Critz; and numerous other family members.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Shelor Family Cemetery in Floyd County. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 at the cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
