Mr. George Crissman, age 61 of Siloam, husband of Mrs. Lucille Beck Crissman, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. Mr. Crissman was born in Surry County, February 22, 1945 to Samuel Francis Crissman and Sallie Lawson Crissman Whitt. He was a hard working farmer and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Lucille Crissman of the home; daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy and Ronnie Norman and Susan Peele all of Siloam; and Christy Johnson of Dobson; grandchildren, Josh Monroe Norman, Brian George Norman, Meagan Olivia Johnson and Harleigh Rae Peele; sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty and Edward Lawson of Westfield and Lettie Hiatt of Ararat; a brother and sisters-in-law, William and Lucille Crissman of Pilot Mountain, Edith Crissman of Mt. Airy; Shirley Crissman of Siloam; and special friends and relatives, Wayne and Martha Beck and Harry and Jane Brown and Sharon Westmoreland. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crissman was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Crissman, Esker Crissman and Carry Crissman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 14, 2006 at Blackwater United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Ted Turman and Rev. Don Collins. Burial will follow in Hogan's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home where his body will remain until the time to be taken to the church to lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service.
