George Willis Goins

Mr. George Willis Goins, 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Central Continuing Care. Mr. Goins was born August 22, 1931, in Surry County, to the late James Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth McCraw Goins. He is survived by two daughters, Frances McMillian and Michael of Mount Airy and Brenda Bledsoe Wilkinson and Tom of Cooleemee; three sons, Roger Goins and Terry, Ricky Goins and Laura, and Randy Goins and Vicki, all of Mount Airy; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ada Goins Lee of Mount Airy; and a brother, the Rev. Charlie Goins of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by two brothers. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 22, 2010, at 7:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lonnie Gunter officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
