Georgia "Nifty" Hiatt

Mrs. Georgia “Nifty” Boyd Hiatt, age 89, of Mt. Airy, moved into the more immediate presence of her Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2019.  Mrs. Hiatt was born in Surry County on July 21, 1930, to Raleigh S. Boyd and Ernie Ayers Boyd McHone.  She was a member of Mt. Bethel Moravian Church and was a loving mother and dear friend to so many who will be sorely missed.  Among the many who will always cherish her sweet memory are sons and a daughter-in-law, John Hiatt; Mark and Pam Hiatt; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gilbert Hiatt, Nancy and Gray Utt, Gaye and J. B. Dunn, Lucy and Don Mills and Jim Hiatt.  There will not be any formal services for Mrs. Hiatt.  Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
