Georgia Johnson Lundy

Mrs. Georgia Johnson Lundy, 92, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Northern Regional Hospital. Mrs. Lundy was born June 10, 1932, in Surry County, to the late King Brady and Mary McHone Johnson. Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her children, William Gray Lundy Jr., Judy Foster (Jeff), and Sherry Suttles (Keith); her grandchildren, Jason Foster (Kelly), Emily Harmon, Kory Suttles, Collin Suttles, and Kate Wade (Ben); her great-grandchildren, Addie and Lundy Harmon and Banks Wade; and her sister, Linda Martin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lundy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lundy; along with several brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Blues Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Danny Miller officiating. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
