Gerald Wayne Jenkins

Mr. Gerald Wayne Jenkins, age 58 the husband of Frankie Wolfe Jenkins passed away on Tuesday evening November 13, 2007 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. He was born in Surry County on December 3, 1948 to the late Johnny Jenkins and the late Cora Collins Jenkins. He was a member of Second Chance Church and was retired form the United States Army. Surviving are his wife Frankie Wolfe Jenkins of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law Rev. Craig Jenkins of the home, Scott Alexander Jenkins and Crystal Jenkins of Dobson; three grandchildren Tanner Leevi Jenkins, Kynzee Mikel Jenkins and Alexander Thomas Jenkins; one sister and brother-in-law Allie and Buck Greenwood of Elkin; two special nieces Donna Phillips and Colene Newman; one special nephew Flint Greenwood. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday November 16, 2007 at Second Chance Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. Services will be conducted by Rev. Terry Coe, Rev. Steve Jenkins and Rev. Rawley Dink Haynes. His body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home until carried to the Church to Lie In State 30 Min. before the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Thursday evening from 7 until 9 PM, and at other times at his son's home 335 Glen Haven Way, Dobson, NC 27017
