Geraldine Puckett Terry

Mrs. Geraldine Puckett Terry age 84 of Meadows of Dan, VA widow of Mr. Arley Terry passed away Sunday morning, September 3, 2006 at Hertiage Hall-Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, VA. Mrs. Terry was born November 18, 1921 in Carroll County, VA to the late Falus Penn and Mabel Bolt Puckett. She was retired from J.P Stevens Company and was a homemaker. Mrs. Terry was a member of Pilot View Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Janice and Carlton Harmon, Jackie and Nash Lawson all of Willis, VA, Brenda and Jerry Owens, and Aleta Elvin all of Mt. Airy, NC, a son and daughter-in-law, Sheldon and Marie Terry, Pulaski, VA, five grandchildren and two spouses, Rick Harmon, Roanoke, VA, Rhonda Shelton and Matthew, Martinsville, VA, Rev. Brian Owens, Charles Town, W.VA, Shelli Owens and James Raymer, Mt. Airy, NC, and Sophia Terry, Pulaski, VA, one great grandchild, Adam Richardson Murrell's Inlet, SC, two sisters, Kathryn Harris, Abingdon, VA and Nina Westmoreland, Hillsville, VA, a brother and sister-in-law, Rayton and Faith Puckett, Hillsville, VA, In addtion to her husband and parents, Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Turman and Audrey Stanley and three brothers, Paul Puckett, Rev. Serle Puckett and Maynard Puckett. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2006 conducted by Rev. Arnold Terry. Burial will follow in the Pilot View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy where her body will remain until time for Mrs. Terry to be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service.
