Gertrude Arbutus Carte

Mrs. Gertrude Arbutus Honaker Carte, age 85 of Beulah passed away, Friday, December 4, 2020 at the SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville. She was born April 3, 1935 in West Virginia to the late Mr. Elsie Arthur Honaker and Louise Dorsey Honaker. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray Carte; and her daughter, Charlene Patricia Haynes. She is survived by daughter; Teresa Reni Carte ;  son and daughter-in-law, Robert Ray and Tina Carte Jr.; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and brothers, Paul Honaker and Edward Honaker. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 1-2:00 P.M. at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Reverend Tommy Vass officiating. Burial will be in the Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.
