Miss Gina Lisa Cox, 59, of Mt. Airy, passed away at Northern Regional Hospital Friday, September 10, 2021. She was born in Surry County, August 1, 1962, to the late James and Casteen Pruitt Cox. Gina owned and operated Holly Springs Sandwich Shop for over 25 years, and currently was working for Taylor Brothers. She was a wonderful sister, aunt, and friend. No one will ever think of Gina without remembering her warm smile. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Nan and Robin Atkins; her brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Frankie Cox; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Atkins Poore, Johnny Lynn Cox, II, Joshua Cassidy Cox, Andrea Jamie Cox; great nieces and nephews, Reese, Addison, Ian, Brady, Holden, Eli, Yosef, Aiden, Wilson, and Tegan; and Gina’s two fury children, Roxie and Lilly. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Skyline Memory Gardens with Johnny Lynn Cox, II officiating. There will not be any formal visitation at the funeral home, but anyone is welcome to go by the funeral home during regular business hours, to pay their respect on Monday, September 13, 2021.
