Glada Maye Conklin

Mrs. Glada Maye Conklin, age 90,formerly of Elkin passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Epperly West Virginia on November 12, 1918 to the late James M. and Ella Maye Hale. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Conklin. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Jim Devine, of Mt. Airy; two sons Robert Conklin, of Mt. Airy, Michael Conklin of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; four grandchildren David, Bryan, Jill and Joshua Martin; by ten great-grandchildren; one brother Raymond (Jack) Hale, of Salem, Va. A memorial service will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday September 16, 2009, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, with Rev. Todd Byrd conducting. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Conklin Family.
