Gladys Ilene Bowman Culler

Mrs. Gladys Ilene Bowman Culler, 91, of Ararat, VA, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart, VA. Mrs. Culler was born November 14, 1918, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Aaron and Ada Frances Bowman. She was a homemaker and attended Blue Ridge Tabernacle as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Culler is survived by her husband, Joseph Culler of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Shelbin and Wanda Culler of Ararat, VA; grandsons and their spouses, Stacey and Melissa Culler, Jamey Culler, and Joy Clement, all of Ararat, VA, and William and Angie Culler of Douglas, GA; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Adrianna, Miriam, Emily Caroline, Eli Joseph and Kattie. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Culler was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Little Stacey Shelbin Culler; and several step brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Tommy Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Young Family Cemetery in Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends Friday, July 2, 2010, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
