Gladys Elena Hawks

Mrs. Gladys Elena Mitchell Hawks, 93, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Patrick County, VA on December 21, 1926 to the late Charles Earl and Geneva Dollarhite Mitchell.  Mrs. Hawks retired from Perry’s Manufacturing, and a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church.  She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Hawks, James Mitchell; grandchildren, Michael Hawks, Jennifer Hawks, Jason Mitchell, and Tracie Fulcher; great-grandchildren Mitchell Fulcher, Katlyn Mitchell and Jasmine Mitchell; a brother and sisters-in-law, William and Mary Lou Mitchell, and Ella Mitchell; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Hawks; a son, Timothy Warren Hawks; a sister, Mary Alice Hull; a brother, Charles Thomas Mitchell.  A graveside service for Mrs. Hawks will be private.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
