Gladys Hazel Jarrell Martin

Mrs. Gladys Hazel Jarrell Martin, age 94 of Mt. Airy, widow of Mr. Bodie Brown Martin, passed away Monday, December 11, 2006 at Universal Healthcare in King. Mrs. Martin was born in Surry County, January 1, 1912 to Albert Franklin and Leake Tilley Jarrell. She was a loving homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are a sister, Ernestine Hull of Winston-Salem; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a sister, May King and a brother, Howard Jarrell. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Oakdale Cemetery. Moody Funeral Home is serving the Martin family.
