Gladys Hazel Snow

Mrs. Gladys Hazel Snow age 73 of 136 Great Dane Trail, Mount Airy, widow of Bill A. Snow, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Snow was born in Amelia County, VA on April 9, 1933, daughter of the late John C. Hutchens and Mary Lawrence Hutchens and was retired from the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Shirley Snow of Mount Airy and Kim and Mike Vaughn of Mount Airy; one son, Billy "Buzz" Snow of Mount Airy; four grandchildren and spouses, Brandy and Jackie Moser, Richard Shane Creed, Jason Snow and David and Michelle Snow all of Mount Airy; two granddaughters, Dee Dee Snow of the home and Abby Moser of Mount Airy; two brothers, Johnny Hutchens and Hampton Hutchens both of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Snow was preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Jane Hutchens, Iva Dell Griffith and Mary Ruth Sleischer and three brothers, Marvin Hutchens, Bob Hutchens and Herbert Hutchens. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by with burial to follow in the Hutchens-Venable Cemetery.
