Glen Edward "Who Do" Sawyers

Mr. Glen Edward "Who Do" Sawyers age 61 of 153 West Old Axtell Road, Waco, TX passed away Saturday, November 17,2007 at the Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, TX. He was born July 9, 1946 in Surry County, NC to the late Ralph Henry Sawyers and Thelma Marie Collins Sawyers. He was a retired truck driver with Dobson Trucking and was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Candice Sawyers, Jimmy and Becky Sawyers all of Waco, TX and Anthony Sawyers, Mt. Airy, NC, four grandchildren, Deann Sawyers, Matthew Sawyers, Christopher Sawyers and Emmalee Sawyers all of Waco, TX, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Sawyers Edmonds, Mt. Airy, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sawyers was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn S. Tate and Shelby Jean Sawyers, and two brothers, Roger E. Sawyers and James Henry Sawyers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 23, 2007 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ray Hutson, Rev. Donnie Hooker and Dr. James Joseph. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Wednesday night at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where his body will remain until carried to the church for the funeral service.
