Glenda Pullins Joseph

Glenda Joseph, born on September 24, 1947, to Mr. Fletcher and Mrs. Martha Pullins, was one of thirteen children. She graduated from Patrick Central High School in Stuart, VA, in 1965, and later moved to Westchester County, New York, after completing her college education.

In 1968, Glenda met George E. Joseph, and they later married on January 1, 1975. She began her career as a Window Clerk at the United States Post Office in New Rochelle, New York, in 1968, where she dedicated 42 years of service until her retirement. Their union was blessed with Glenda's only and most cherished daughter (her beloved songbird), Fa'Licia Joseph, born on April 2, 1976.

In 1979, Glenda made the profound decision to dedicate her life to Jesus Christ, becoming a devoted member of the White Plains Deliverance Evangelistic Center Inc. She served faithfully on the Deaconess Board, Busy Bee Board, Missionary Board, and as the Sunday School Secretary. Glenda was also a passionate member of the outreach program, spreading the love of Christ in nursing homes, and a beloved member of the White Plains Voices of Deliverance, serving as a devotional leader for many years. She is currently a member of Kingdom Tribe at Mount Calvary Holy Church in Stuart, VA. 

Glenda's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and commitment to sharing the light, joy, healing, and love of Jesus Christ with everyone she encountered. As a graduate of the White Plains Deliverance Bible Institute, she was dedicated to her faith, leading countless individuals to Christ.

Glenda was preceded in death by her siblings Genetta Moore, Henry Pullins, Della Pilson, Gertrude Harris, James Garfield Pullins, and siblings in love; S. Lee Pilson, Judy Pullins, John Harris, Robert Scott, and Patricia Pullins. 

She is survived by her daughter Fa'Licia Joseph (Patrick Springs, VA); stepdaughter, Natasha Joseph (McIntosh, AL); and siblings Mattie Scott (San Antonio, TX), Dorothy Pullins (Stuart, VA), Irene Stubblefield and her husband, John (Reidsville, NC), Laymon Pullins and Carolyn (Lawrenceville, GA), Hattie Pullins, Marquentia Pullins, and Alesia Bratton (High Point, NC). Glenda is also remembered by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, godchildren; Darryl Pullins, Ethan Pilson, Cyncere Moore, Tzion Moore, and her grand goddaughter Kadence Moore. 

Her legacy of love extends to her grand fur babies, including the cherished King George Joseph and Duchess (10 and 5 months, respectively). 

Glenda Joseph's life was a beacon of faith, love, and service. She touched countless lives and will be dearly missed. 

The Homegoing service for Mrs. Joseph will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Virginia with Evangelist Elliott Pilson officiating and Pastor Curtis Leander Pilson eulogizing. Burial will immediately follow in Community Cemetery. A wake will be held one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
