Glenda Gail Hiatt Southern

Mrs. Glenda Gail Hiatt Southern, 68 of 141 Bishop Lane Mt. Airy, NC. passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mrs. Southern was born in Surry County on April 3, 1944 to the late Sandy and Lorrene Marion Hiatt, she was a homemaker and member of Indian Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband Alex Southern of the home, one daughter and son-in-law Rana and Chris Chamberlain of Mt. Airy, one son Donald Southern of Mt. Airy, two brothers and sister-in-law Bobby and Patsy Hiatt of Mt. Airy and Douglas Hiatt of Mt. Airy, her special "grand dog" Lillie and a special friend Imogene Axsom of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held Monday July 2, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Indian Grove Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Tommy Floyd with burial to follow in the Indian Grove Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night 6 to 8 P.M. at Indian Grove Baptist Church and at other times at the home of her daughter Rana Chamberlain, 216 Bishop Lane Mt. Airy, NC. Moody Funeral Services will be assisting the Southern Family.
