Glenda Mae Taylor

Mrs. Glenda Mae Hodges Taylor, 88, of Lowgap passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.   She was born in Surry County on January 31, 1936, to the late Elmer and Mary Ella Flinchum Hodges.  Mrs. Taylor was a faithful member of Maple Springs Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.  She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Jan Taylor; grandchildren and husbands, Ashley and Bobby Talbott, Allison and Brad Harris; great granddaughters, Rose and Bella Harris, Aurora Talbott; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Gary Snow, Faye Comer; brother, Billy Ray Hodges; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Dan Dose, Susan Taylor; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Taylor; brother, Bobby Hodges, ; nephews, Randy Hodges, and Tommy Comer; sister-in-law, Shelby Hodges; brothers-in-law, Delmore Comer, Wayne Taylor; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bernard and Mary Taylor.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Beulah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Woody Flippen and the Rev. Rick Crouse officiating.   The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
