Glenn Elwood Collins

Mr. Glenn Elwood Collins, 71, of Lambsburg, VA, passed away Friday morning, November 13, 2015, at his home. Mr. Collins was born December 2, 1943, in Surry County, the son of the late Claude Jones Collins and Leva Wolfe Collins. Glenn retired as a machine fixer from Renfro Corporation after 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Joan Hawks Collins; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ronnie Collins; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Robin Collins and Timmy Collins; seven grandchildren, Carissa Collins, Travis Collins, Justin Collins, Levi Collins, Cody Collins, Toby Collins, and Anna Collins; four great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen Chandler, Barbara Stine, Alice and Mickey Venable, and Jenny and Charles Reeves; and a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Imogene Collins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Collins. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be in charge of the cremation and assisting the family. There are no local services planned.
