Glenn U. Draughn

Mr. Glenn U. Draughn, age 84 of Dobson passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Surry County on June 8, 1925 to the late Samuel James and Grace Edmonds Draughn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Grover and Paul Draughn; by a special sister-in-law Louise Simpson Draughn. Surviving is his loving sister who cared for Glenn, Fern Draughn of the home; a special sister-in-law Jewel Draughn of Dobson; several special nieces and nephews; several special great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday September 10, 2009 in the Cemetery of New Home Church of Christ. There will be no formal visitation held but the family and friends can view the Glenn's body at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Brother Tim Smith will conduct the graveside service. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the love and care given to Glenn and his family.
