Glenn Cecil Easter

Mr. Glenn Cecil Easter, 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday morning, May 9, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Easter was born April 16, 1943, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Harmon and Laura Rippey Easter.  Glenn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.  He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of Renfro Masonic Lodge #691 AF and AM.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 30 years, Tammy Fleming Easter; two daughters, Lisa Easter Tilley and Olivia Easter; seven grandchildren, Jessica Tilley, Lacey Jones and Rodney, Kelci McBean and Gaelan, Taylor Easter, Will Easter, Rachelle Wright, and Luke Roberts; three great-grandchildren, Sarah Lambert, Emma Lambert, and Zaylie Draughn; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Mike Jones and his wife, Gail.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by five sisters, Nina Easter Jones, Mary June Easter Brim, Peggy Easter, Helen Easter Cornelius, and Carolyn Easter Simmons; and a brother, James Easter.  A memorial service will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Roger Sechrist officiating.  At the conclusion of the service, Masonic rites will be conducted by Renfro Masonic Lodge #691 AF and AM .  The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and compassion shown by the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC  27030.
