Glenn Albert Gwyn

Mr. Glenn Albert Gwyn age 86 of 1287 Newsome Street, Mt. Airy, NC passed away Wednesday December 12, 2007 at Central Continuing Care. He was born June 14,1921 in Surry County to the late James Albert and Ann Bennett Gwyn. Mr. Gwyn was a veteran of Word War II having served in the US Army. He was retired from Rose's and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Mark Marion, Westfield, NC, four grandchildren and three spouses, Angie and Jason Hinson, Dobson, NC, Carla and Jonathan Brame, Elkin, NC, Morgan and Rev. Joe Lambert, Dobson, NC and Mollie Marion, Mt. Airy, NC, five great grandchildren, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Steve Kirkman, Mt. Airy, NC, Shirley and Mac Wilson, Sophia, NC, five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Jerry Thomas Gwyn, Winston-Salem, NC, James and Dorothy Gwyn, Mt. Airy, NC, Charlie and Lois Gwyn, Mt. Airy, NC, Junior and Sylvia Gwyn, Westfield, NC, Raymond and Dixie Marion, Dobson, NC, two special friends, Nellie Linville and Bill Potts both of Dobson, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gwyn was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Epperson and two sons, Glenn Gwyn, Jr and Robert Lee Gwyn. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Craig Key. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
