Glenn Ray Pack

Mr. Glenn Ray Pack, 54, of Ararat, VA, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Pack was born March 21, 1957, in Patrick County, VA, to Sadie Marshall Pack and the late Jessie Akers Pack. He was a school bus driver for Patrick County Schools, a farmer, and an avid gardener who loved growing and working the land. He was a member of Doe Run Baptist Church and attended Jones Chapel Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his devoted wife, Wilma Easter Pack of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Stacy Foley of Woolwine, VA, Janice and Chad Bowman of Stuart, VA, Ashley and Bobby Cain of Ararat, VA, Sheena Bowman of Ararat, VA, and Courtney Pack of the home; sons and a daughter-in-law, Jason and Crystal Pack of Lambsburg, VA, and Christopher Bowman of Ararat, VA; ten grandchildren; his mother, Sadie Marshall Pack of Ararat, VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Della Pack and Brenda and Roberts Stevens, all of Ararat, VA; brothers and sister-in-law, Herbert Pack of Ararat, VA, and James and Michelle Pack of Fancy Gap, VA; a special brother and his fiancée, Junior Pack and Tammy Draughn of Ararat; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, George Pack; and special friends, Bobby Goad, Reavis Brim, A.G. Puckett, Charlie Hull, and Montague Puckett. In addition to his father, Mr. Pack was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Pack; and an infant sister. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Billy Stegall and the Rev. Sammy Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pack Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
