Glenn Reynolds

Mr. Glenn Reynolds, 82, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  Mr. Reynolds was born in Surry County on February 7, 1936, to the late Rev. Jesse Vester “JV” Reynolds and Annie Rogers Reynolds.  He was a retired fixer from Renfro, and was a faithful member of Rocky Ford Christian Church in Cana as long as his health permitted.  Mr. Reynolds will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends.  Left to cherish his memory are three sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn Hodge, Mycleta Cox, Barbara and Hilton Creed; a sister-in-law, Frances Reynolds; many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Donald Cox; and his caregivers and special friends, Dania Pruitt and Nyra Holderfield.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his wife Katie Edwards Reynolds; a sister, Hallie McMillian; a brother, James Carlton Reynolds; and brothers-in-law, Zane Cox, Ralph Hodge, and Ed McMillian.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Moore and George Randle, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, and other times at the home of Mr. Reynolds’s sister, Barbara Creed.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Ford Christian Church, 12223 Fancy Gap Hwy, Cana, VA 24317.
