Gloria R. Owens

Gloria R. Owens, of Stuart passed away at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Nov. 22, 2017 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ned and Charlotte Rorrer.

She was a graduate of Stuart High School and James Madison University. She had been a teacher at Stuart Elementary School prior to her retirement and was a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Patrick Springs.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Peggy Rorrer of Stuart and Brenda Rorrer of Roanoke; two Aunts, Freida Grogan of Chandler, AZ and Virginia Rorrer of Peterstown, WV.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence United Methodist Church, 1021 Providence Dr, Patrick Springs, VA 24133.
