Gloria Dot Jessup Towe

Mrs. Gloria Dot Jessup Towe, 87, of Elkin passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on November 17, 1928 to the late, Roscoe and Nicy Cook Jessup. Mrs. Towe was retired from Spencer’s and was a member of East Elkin Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Blake Mitchell of Elkin; grandchildren, Melissa and Dan Freeman of Elkin, Erin and Brandon Mink of Ronda; great-grandchildren, Hannah Blake Freeman and Jodi Mink. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Towe was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Thomas Towe; a daughter, Gina Towe; a sister, Lee Anna Deezic; a brother, John L. Jessup. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at East Elkin Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the church. Moody Funeral home in Mt. Airy is serving the Towe family.
