Mrs. Goldie Inez Semones Utt Age 89 of Charlotte, NC., formally of Franklin St. Mt. Airy passed away Thursday night at Charlotte Health Care in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Utt was born January 9, 1918 in Carroll County, VA to the late John Wilson and Minnie Inez Vass Semones, she was a homemaker and a member of Saint Andrews Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Mike Bozeman of Charlotte and Carol and Martin DeJong of Greenwood, SC., two grandchildren Heather Guy and husband Glen of Greenville, SC and Amanda Bozeman of Charlotte; a great granddaughter, Goldie and by two sisters Lora Davenport of Mt. Airy and Sadie Bowman of Roanoke, VA. Mrs. Utt was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Ivan C. Utt. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Gladesboro Lutheran Church with services conducted by Pastor Duane L. Steele and Pastor Martin DeJong with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service at Gladesboro Lutheran Church.
