Mrs. Grace Virginia Willard Inman, 84, of 328 Galloway Street, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born May 30, 1925, in Stokes County, to the late John and Mary Ann Cole Willard. She retired from Spencer's Inc. and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Libbie J. Inman of Mount Airy; two granddaughters and their husbands, Kimberly "Kim" and Chris Clayton of Pinnacle and Kelly and Andy Hull of Mount Airy; and five great-grandchildren, Bethany Clayton and Brett Clayton, both of Pinnacle, Ashlyn Kristine Stone of Kernersville, and Cassie Hull and Claire Hull, both of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Coolidge Inman; a son, Jerry Wayne Inman; a granddaughter, Kristine Angela "Kris" Inman Stone; six sisters; and three brothers. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Jimmy Cain officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
