Grace Matilda Pettyjohn Morgan

Mrs. Grace Matilda Pettyjohn Morgan, age 85, passed away Friday, November 09, 2007 at Sunbridge Nursing Center in High Point. Mrs. Morgan was born in Wilkes County, January 7, 1922 to Robert Hugh and Isabella Augusta Creed Pettyjohn. She was retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Willie Haneline, Jr. and wife Patty of Clemmons; a grandson, Matthew Haneline and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, V. B. Morgan and her parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by sisters, Mollie Pettyjohn, Emma Bates, Ruth Lindley, Doris Pettyjohn and Thelma Bright and by brothers, Johnny Pettyjohn, William Pettyjohn, Walter Pettyjohn and Jesse Pettyjohn. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Peoples Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Eugene Brinkley. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home, Sunday from 1:00 until the time to depart for the graveside service.
