Gracie Bowman Beck

Mrs. Gracie Bowman Beck, age 88, of Lambsburg, Virginia, passed away early Thursday morning, March 13, 2025, at Hillsville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsville, Virginia. Mrs. Beck was born in Patrick County, on June 24, 1936, to the late Oscar Lawrence and Hattie Bell Bowman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved serving the Lord, always smiling, small but fierce. Mrs. Beck is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Evelyn Goings and Harry, Loretta “Lynn” Wilson; sons and daughters-in-law, Dwaine Bowman and Debbie, Robert Lee Beck, III and Tammy, Adrian Travis Beck and Chasity; grandchildren and their spouses, Josh Wilson and Megan, Zach Wilson and Anna, Jarod Wilson and Morgan, Jordan Beck and Leanne, Bradley Beck and Amanda, Raven Beck and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Colten, Weston, Ada, Tucker, Carlee, Anderson, Hance, Clay, and Lainey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel Combs and Gene, Mozelle Stanley and Posey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wade Bowman and Doris, Leon Bowman and Evon. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Lee Beck, Jr., infant daughter; brothers, Temple Bowman, Ersel Bowman; son-in-law, Robert Wilson. A graveside service to honor Mrs. Beck life will be held Monday, March 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church 687 Chestnut Grove Road, Lambsburg, Virginia, with the Rev. Pete King and Rev. Michael Combs officiating. Per Mrs. Becks’ request there will not be any formal visitation held at this time. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Beck family.
