Gracie Hardy Pridgen

Mrs. Gracie Hardy Pridgen age 88 of Dobson, NC the widow of Joseph Pridgen passed away on Tuesday October 30, 2007 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. She was born on April 7, 1919 to the late John Wesley Hardy and the late Martha Wall Hardy, in addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by five brothers Curtis Hardy, Marvin Hardy, Porter Hardy, Clinton Hardy, Grover Hardy; and one nephew. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired seamstress. Surviving is a sister Mary Hardy White of Dobson; three nieces and nine nephews. Funeral services will be held on 2:00 P.M. Friday November 2, 2007 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with burial to follow in the Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Barlow Stanley and Rev. Jimmie Tucker will conduct the service. The Family will receive friends at Moody Davis Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7 until 9 P.M.. The family would like to give a special thanks to The Surry Friends of Seniors for the care given to Gracie.
