Gracie Isabell Tolbert

Mrs. Gracie Isabell Flippen Tolbert, age 94, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Mt Airy.  She was born April 22, 1924 to the late Samuel and Lutishia Boles Flippen.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Virginia Tolbert, Clarence and Becky Tolbert; as well as grandchildren, Rebecca Hodson and husband Chris, Jessica, and Caitlin Tolbert.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Tolbert was preceded in death by her husband, John Woltz Tolbert; sisters, Ada Flippen Tolbert, Roxie Flippen Tolbert; brothers, Elder Grover Flippen, Claude Flippen, Elder Roy Flippen,  Elder Sam Flippen, Benton Flippen.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Brian Pack.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  The family request that in lieu of flowers donation may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt Airy, NC. 27030.
