Grady "Hank" Franklin Ladd

Mr. Grady “Hank” Franklin Ladd, 67, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in Surry County on October 31, 1952 to the late Alfred and Ellen Frances Edwards Ladd.  Mr. Ladd proudly served our country in the United Stated Marines, and was a faithful member of Gospel Baptist Church in Pinnacle.  He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Beane Ladd; a daughter, Mary Ellen Ladd; sons, Michael Paul Ladd, and Matthew Franklin Ladd; grandchildren, Kayla Easter, Cory Easter, Skylar Ladd, and Riley Draughn; sisters, Mary Snow, and Janie Easter; brothers, Bobby Ladd, and Phillip Ladd; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents Mr. Ladd was preceded in death by sisters, Linda Combs, Brenda Ladd, and Susie Worrell; brothers, Teddy Ladd, and Alfred Jr. “Dunie” Ladd.  A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Gospel Baptist Church in Pinnacle with Pastor John Hilton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors conducted by VFW Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.  Being mindful of social distancing the family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Gospel Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to assist with the expenses.  Online Condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
