Grady Marie Marion Leftwich

Mrs. Grady Marie Marion Leftwich, 90, of 681 Old Goodspur Trail, Cana, VA, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008, at her home. Mrs. Leftwich was born January 23, 1918, in Carroll County, VA, the first of five children born to the late Daniel Jesse and Sarah Combs Marion. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Paul Church of the Brethren. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Vineda Faye and Marvin Edwards of Cana, VA; a son, Edsel Fonzo Leftwich of Cana, VA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Audrey Marion Jones of Mount Airy; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Hubert and Lannie Marion of Mount Airy and Coy Marion of Chilhowie, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Leftwich was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Andrew Leftwich; two sons, Everett Ray Leftwich and Ennis Melvin Leftwich; and a sister, Pernie Marion Gunter. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Donald G. Bryant, Sr., and burial will follow in the Saint Paul Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
