Gray Franklin Dalton

Mr. Gray Franklin Dalton, 73, of Pilot Mountain left to be with the Lord after a battle with Cancer on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Surry County on November 18, 1948, to the late William Raleigh Dalton and Hazel Chappell Dalton.  He is survived by a daughter, Christina McBride; a son, Jonathan Dalton; grandchildren, Vanessa Glueck, Travis Dalton, and Zachery McBride; brothers and sister-in-law, William and Brenda Dalton, Mitchell Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Larry Ruppard, Alice Moorefield, Irene and Kyle Gosnell; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Bell Dalton.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Winfrey Davis.  The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
