Gregory Warren Boyd

Mr. Gregory Warren Boyd, 49, of Ararat, VA passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Patrick County, VA on March 15, 1972, to the late Robert William and Shirley Turner Boyd. Mr. Boyd was owner-operator of Boyd’s Automotive, and a faithful member of White Plains Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, and father who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. He taught his children well, loved his wife, worked hard, and always took time out to have fun with his family. He is survived by his wife, Angela Turney Boyd; a daughter, Alexandria Boyd; a son, Trace Boyd. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church with the Rev. David Tucker, the Rev. Larry Norman, and the Rev. Tom Delph officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ararat Volunteer Fire Department, 5082 Ararat Hwy, Ararat, VA 24053. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Boyd family.
