Gregory "Greg" Lee King, Sr.

Mr. Gregory “Greg” Lee King, Sr, age 63 of Mount Airy passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation in Mount Airy. Mr. King was born in Surry County on January 11, 1961, to the late Joe Columbus and Patsy Joann Snow King. Greg was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Gregory “Lee” King, Jr. and wife Allyson, Blake King; a grandson, Cody King and girlfriend Jordan Hawks; great-grandchild, Asher Turner King; a sister and brother-in-law, Teresa King Adams and husband Terry; five brothers and sisters-in-law, James King and wife Sandy, Tim King, Terry King and wife Michelle, Jerry King, Randal King; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by a son, Lucas Turner King; his life partner, Talana Cain; a sister, Susan King Love; a brother, Bobby Snow; and a niece, Taylor King. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Spurlin officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
