Gregory Marcus Mickey

Mr. Gregory Marcus Mickey, age 31, of Mt. Airy, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday December 12, 2006. He was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on September 12, 1975 to Marcus Early and Teresa Kingrea Mickey. Mr. Mickey was employed in the Maintenance Department of Astro Distribution and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Marcus and Teresa Mickey of Mt. Airy; three daughters Lana Alexis Mickey, Lexy Ann Mickey and Madison Lynn Mickey all of Mt. Airy; a special son; his maternal grandmother Violet Marie Kingrea of Pulaski, VA.; his girlfriend Sabrina Keith of the home; a sister Crystal Lynn Mickey and friend Jerry Johnson of Mt. Airy. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Garnet Kingrea; his paternal grandparents Martha and Henry Mickey and a special uncle Michael Kingrea. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday December 17, 2006 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson with Rev. Tony White and Rev. Chris Oakley officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday December 16, 2006 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
