Gregory Curtis Nixon

Mr. Gregory Curtis Nixon, age 60, of Thurmond, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 24, 1962, in Surry County, to the late Charles Curtis Nixon and the late Nancy Lee Golden Nixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vicky Lynne Wilmoth Nixon.

            Left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Candy and  Lee Lineberry; his son, Nathan Gregory Nixon; grandchildren, Mika Lynne Lineberry, and Charly Danielle Lineberry; his sister and brother-in-law, Katherine Nixon Minton and Donnie Minton; his brother, Jeffrey Neal Nixon; and his nieces and nephews, Shantana Nixon, Brittany Nixon, and Curtis Coe. Mr. Nixon was a devoted family man, a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, owner and operator of Nixon’s Equipment Repair, and loved his John Deere tractors.

            Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 9,2022 in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Rev. Tony White and Rev. Craig Key officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
